England Golf Seeks Public Support for 2030 Women's Golf Showcase Hosting Proposal
The last Solheim Cup taking place in Europe took place in Spain last year, while the upcoming edition set for Holland four years from now.
After the latest men's golf championship success, England Golf is pressing the government to underwrite their proposal to stage the Solheim Cup in the country for the very first occasion.
This prestigious tournament pitting the leading female golfers from Europe and America has taken place on two occasions in Scotland and in Wales yet never on English territory. An official proposal has been prepared to stage it at the Grove venue within Hertfordshire eight years from now.

Funding Details
To stage the men's tournament on European soil needs more than £400m however for the women's event it is around £30m.
"We are seeking approximately twenty million pounds in public funding to support the bid," the representative declared.
