A Palestinian-American teenager after completing a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested last February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, allegations he repeatedly contested.
United States authorities said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Mohammed, now 16, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.
According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and experiencing medical problems contracted in captivity.
Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"At this moment, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing Israel's abuse and cruel circumstances throughout his detention."
US officials said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.
{"US government authorities considers paramount to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," it added.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done to release him.
Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen nor direct contact since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.
Mohammed was held lacking indictment in Ofer prison in the West Bank.
The facility also contains grown detainees, featuring prisoners sentenced for major terrorist activities including killings.
Approximately 350 Palestinian child security detainees detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, Mr Kadur said they would maintain their efforts seeking justice for their relative family member Sayfollah.
This young American-Palestinian according to health authorities died from beating by Israeli settlers following tensions in July.
At the time, defense forces stated authorities were looking into accounts of a Palestinian had been killed.
The two cousins collaborated in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.
No indictments occurred with Sayfollah's killing.
"We anticipate US authorities to protect our families," the uncle stated.
